About the event
Women have gathered in circles for millennia. These gatherings have created space for intergenerational women to share their fears, dreams, their innermost thoughts. I have now been running women's circles for five years and the feedback I receive is truly humbling. There's so many circles popping up across the UK right now, in Shropshire specifically too, I'm celebrating that hugely, we need more. Women sitting in circle are changing the world and I'm here for that and celebrating it too.
This circle is for you if:
you are feeling the pull to sit in ceremony with other women
you are a space holder yourself
you are an intuitive or 'sensitive' person
you are working on your sisterhood and/or mother wounding
you are working with your nervous system
you enjoy being in a space that fills you up and allows you the space to sink into personal reflection and growth.
I am specifically calling forward women who are tending to themselves as the collective move through a year of death, women who are helping to move through that energy and who need holding. I see all that you are doing, I am celebrating you and I am here to hold you as you continue to show up in your full light.
I am passionate about holding and supporting you exactly where you are. I take my time. I create opportunities to move slowly. To speak with truth. It's a beautiful circle that I truly love holding.
Here is a little about what the people who previously attended have said:
"Attending a circle hosted by Merryn is deeply enriching and transformative, a truly uplifting and nourishing experience. From the moment I entered the circle space I felt an overwhelming sense of warmth and acceptance. The circle also offered an opportunity to connect with other like-minded people on a journey of self-discovery and spiritual growth"
"It's two days until the next circle and I've been looking forward to it all week. It's a highlight of the month for me. Merryn holds space just perfectly to give me what I need. A time of recharging, a time of resting, a time of reflection. Amongst a busy life, this circle gives me time to pause and anchors me for the rest of the month"
"I've attended multiple circles in the past and Merryn's are the only ones that I've felt really held in. As someone who holds space, it's a beautiful thing to feel truly held in safe space. It is relaxed and welcoming and a well needed break for me to share and decompress"
I work intuitively and so I curate each circle with guidance in the days prior to the event and sometimes, that plan needs to shift a little. A little of what you may expect is listed below:
sitting in circle with opportunities for talking from the heartspace
connecting with nature
meditation
ritual
crafting
journalling
singing or sounding
storytelling
drumming
feasting
Seven Circles invites you to take time away from the busyness of life for connection and sisterhood. To experience a sense of belonging and of kinship which, in turn, facilitates healing, growth and transformation.
How often do we push ourselves to our absolute limits and then crash and burn only to find that it's only us that can get ourselves back up from the ground. These circles were created with the absolute opposite in mind. The sacred and safer space created in my Dark Moon gatherings gives you permission to pause, to breathe deeply and to nourish your innermost self in a room of women who have experienced similar things to you, similar pressures, similar fears and similar joys.
A circle provides space to honour the whole of our experience; gently aiding the ebb and flow of our emotional landscape and making way for our grief, joy, sadness, guilt, hope to be expressed. Each circle nurtures inner enquiry and offers a time for self-reflection and rest, encouraging a practice of no judgement.
What to bring:
A journal/diary/notebook and pen to capture your thoughts, feelings and reflections
A blanket to help you feel cosy, safe and warm
Something nibbly to share as we spend time mingling
A mug (a variety of herbal and fruity teas will be available)
Something to add on to the alter if you'd like to
The dates for the circles are as follows:
Saturday 22nd February
Saturday 29th March
Saturday 26th April
Saturday 24th May
Saturday 28th June Saturday 26th July
Saturday 23rd August
It's integral that you plan to attend all circles. I understand things happen in life, what I ask is that you make your attendance at these circles a priority.
